Excel row column selection shorcut keys

Shortcut keys in Excel: Go to the end of a row/column when you have clicked on a cell in that column, Selecting upto the end of a row, goto the top-left most cell etc.

A tutorial on shortcut keys in Excel : Mac users should use COMMAND key instead of CTRL. This tutorial shows how to select some cells, a cell range, entire row or column, multiple columns in MS Excel.

A) Go to the end of a column when you have clicked on a cell in that column:

1. Click on any cell in Excel
2. Pressing the CTRL Key press DOWN ARROW key, you will goto the end of that column and bottom most cell will be highlighted.

B) Go to the end of a row when you have clicked on a cell in that row:

1. Click on any cell in Excel
2. Pressing the CTRL Key press RIGHT ARROW key, you will goto the end of that row and right-most cell will be highlighted.

C) Selecting upto the end of a row when you have clicked on a cell in that row:

1. Click on any cell in Excel
2. Pressing the CTRL + SHIFT, press RIGHT ARROW key, the selection will be highlighted.

B) Open the Name Manager window in Excel : Press CTRL key + F3 button

C) Goto the top-left most cell in Microsoft Excel :

1. Click on any cell in Excel sheet
2. Press CTRL + HOME button
3. The top-left most cell will be highlighted.

D) Goto the bottom-right most cell in Microsoft Excel : Press CTRL + END button

1. Click on any cell in Excel sheet
2. Press CTRL + END button
3. The bottom-right most cell will be highlighted.

D) Select a whole row in Excel

  1. Click on the row header of that row.

D) Select few adjacent rows in Excel

  1. Click on the row header of 1st row.
  2. Holding the SHIFT key click on the row header of last row.

D) Select few NON adjacent rows in Excel

  1. Click on the row header of 1st row.
  2. Holding the CTRL key click on the row headers of the rows.
